Labour Court recommends transfer for Loctite technician after written warning dispute

In 1990, the Labour Court recommended that Loctite (Ireland) Limited transfer a senior technician to another department so his competence could be assessed fairly. The recommendation was signed on 29 March 1990. The dispute concerned a written warning issued on 16 March 1989. Manufacturing Science Finance sought to suspend the warning pending an independent assessment and proposed a transfer. The Court said the performance dossier cast doubt on the worker's competence, but the circumstances had strained the relationship with his supervisor unfairly to both.
