In 1990, the Labour Court did not recommend concession of either Services Industrial Professional Technical Union claim against Gypsum Industries PLC. The recommendation was signed on 5 February 1990. One claim sought a higher weekly differential for six operatives at Knocknacran: the Union sought £40.26, while the company had offered £30. The other sought £5,000 compensation for a redundant worker’s loss of earnings, in addition to his redundancy lump sum. The Court recommended concession of neither claim.
