In 1990, the Labour Court recommended that Adelphi Carlton Limited’s dismissal of a worker be upheld. The recommendation was signed on 2 February 1990. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union argued that the worker had a perfect record and that the evidence did not justify dismissal. Adelphi Carlton Limited said he breached admission procedures by taking money from cinema patrons and that its investigation was fair. The Court found the company had reasonable grounds for dismissal. The Director of Public Prosecutions had decided not to take action against the worker.
