Labour Court recommends Bus Eireann include spreadover in annual leave pay

In 1990, the Labour Court recommended that Bus Eireann include spreadover payments arising from regular rostered overtime when calculating annual leave pay, with effect from the recommendation's issue date. The recommendation was signed on 25 January 1990. The National Busworkers Union argued that excluding the payments reduced workers' holiday pay. Bus Eireann said its agreement excluded spreadover arising outside the normal working day and estimated the cost of conceding the claim at £19,500.
