The Labour Court recommended that Krups Engineering Limited concede the National Engineering And Electrical Trade Union's claim for a 36% shift premium for three craftsmen working three shifts, after finding that agreements since 1983 had not changed the shift terms. The company had applied a 30% premium and offered the three workers £1,795 each for 78 weeks of lost earnings. The union rejected that offer. The recommendation was signed on 10 January 1990.
