In 1998, the Labour Court recommended one additional day of annual leave in the current leave year and another in 1991 for two Bus Eireann store controllers attached to Broadstone and Dundalk garages. The Irish Transport And General Workers' Union sought extra leave after finding that the workers’ regraded roles had fewer leave days than comparable grades. The Court said the arrangement was unique to the stores-issuers in Dundalk and Broadstone. The recommendation was signed on 23 August 1998.
