The Labour Court recommended that Darragh Limited recognise the Amalgamated Transport And General Workers' Union’s right to represent its members. The recommendation was signed on 31 May 1988. The union sought recognition for about seven production operatives. It said employees had joined and some later resigned under company pressure. Darragh Limited said its staff association and direct discussions with workers were adequate.
