In 1988, the Labour Court recommended that Bus Atha Cliath deal with the appointment of temporary conductors under its Viability Plan and honour the One Person Operation Agreement in the meantime. The recommendation was signed on 19 April 1988. The National Busworkers' Union and ICTU Road Passenger Group had sought regular staff appointments for 32 temporary conductors. The Court found that failing to appoint conductors after 12 months of satisfactory service would breach the agreement.
Labour Court says Bus Atha Cliath should honour conductors' agreement
