In 1988, the Labour Court did not recommend the Irish Transport And General Workers' Union's claim for £5,000 each for eight process operators at Mitsui Denman (Ireland) Limited. The recommendation was signed on 15 April 1988. After visiting the factory and inspecting the proposed work, the Court found the change would not place a significant additional burden on cell re-arrangers. It recommended that the workers remove output restrictions and that the company review their overtime earnings with the union after six months.
