Labour Court recommends 4% pay increase for T.N.T. Ipec workers

The Labour Court recommended a 4% pay increase from 1 January 1988 for 25 clerical and supervisory workers at T.N.T. Ipec Ireland Limited. The recommendation was signed on 12 January 1988, and the agreement was to end on 30 September 1988. The Irish Transport And General Workers' Union had sought a 6% increase for 12 months. The company said trading losses meant it could not afford retrospection or a larger increase. The Court said it had considered both parties’ submissions and the company’s position before making its recommendation.
