The Labour Court recommended pay increases for about 35 workers at Rima Pharmaceuticals Limited in the Amalgamated Transport And General Workers' Union's 27th wage round claim. The recommendation was signed on 19 November 1987. It recommended a 3% increase from 1 July to 30 November 1987 and a 2% increase from 1 December 1987 to 30 June 1988. The Court also recommended discussions by 1 September 1988 on introducing an incentive bonus scheme. The union had sought a 15% increase over 12 months and an early bonus scheme. Rima cited higher-than-expected losses in a competitive export market.
