The Labour Court recommended a revised wage deal for 26 workers at North Western Cattle Breeding Society Limited in its dispute with the Irish Transport And General Workers' Union. The recommendation was signed on 16 November 1987. It recommended increases of 3% from 1 June 1986, 4% from 1 June 1987 and 3% from 1 June 1988, with the agreement ending on 30 November 1988. The Court also recommended that workers accept the Society's amended offer and that its sick-pay offer be accepted. It did not recommend conceding the union's claim for part-time workers.
