In 1987, the Labour Court recommended that a worker accept Falcarragh Knitwear Limited's offer of the next available suitable vacancy. The recommendation was signed on 22 October. The Federated Workers' Union of Ireland (Irish Women Workers' Branch) said the worker had not left her job and sought reinstatement or compensation. The company said she had left its employment in August 1985 but that her job remained available.
