Labour Court recommends higher tutorial rate for visiting dental surgeons

In 1987, the Labour Court recommended a higher sessional rate for visiting dental surgeons at Cork Dental Hospital when their sessions included a tutorial. The Irish Dental Association had sought revised terms for 18 surgeons. The recommendation was signed on 16 October 1987. The Court recommended the rate applicable to clinical tutors in Dublin, then £46.78, for tutorial sessions, payable from 1 January 1987. It did not recommend the Association's other claims, which included changes to tenure, pensions, leave and study sessions.
