Labour Court recommends two 3% increases for Midland Butter and Bacon workers

In 1987, the Labour Court recommended two 3% pay increases for factory operatives at Midland Butter and Bacon Company Limited: one effective from 1 January and another from 1 September. The agreement was to conclude on 31 March 1988. The recommendation was signed on 26 August 1987. The Irish Transport and General Workers Union had sought a larger increase, while the company cited losses and difficult trading conditions.
