The Labour Court recommended that the Irish Transport and General Workers' Union accept Irish Co-Operative Society’s offer to apply its annual-leave calculation uniformly from 1 January 1987, including for the 1986 leave year. The parties were to negotiate an arrangement for workers who lost leave under the previous calculation. The recommendation was signed on 30 July 1987. The union also sought disturbance compensation for ten workers moved back to the main factory building. The Court did not recommend conceding that claim, noting the Society’s undertakings about a factory extension.
