In 1987, the Labour Court recommended that Dublin Port & Docks Board set aside £12,000 for distribution among staff involved in a relocation, if the transfer met management’s timetable and standards. The recommendation was signed on 9 June 1987. The Irish Transport and General Workers' Union and the Federated Workers' Union of Ireland were the unions named in the case. The Court did not recommend disturbance compensation, but also recommended necessary overtime payments alongside the conditional fund.
