Labour Court recommends 5% rise for Kingburger catering staff

In 1987, the Labour Court recommended a 5% pay increase for Kingburger's full-time and part-time catering staff for one year from 1 June 1986. The recommendation was signed on 23 April 1987. The Irish Transport and General Workers' Union sought an 8% increase for about 33 workers. Kingburger, represented by the Federated Union of Employers, said financial difficulties made an increase unaffordable and could put jobs at risk.
