Labour Court declines to recommend Telecom Eireann withdraw or substantiate promotion statement

The Labour Court did not recommend conceding the Post Office Officials Association's claim that Telecom Eireann withdraw or substantiate a statement about a worker's suitability for promotion. The recommendation was signed on 5 November 1986. The Association said the statement had caused concern for the worker and sought its withdrawal or substantiation. Telecom Eireann said it had given a factual account of the worker's career and that an assessment of unsuitability on one occasion did not rule out later promotion. The Court did not recommend conceding the Association's claim.
