WRC makes no recommendation in worker’s dismissal and holiday-pay dispute

The Workplace Relations Commission made no recommendation in a worker’s dismissal and holiday-pay dispute, in a decision dated 7 August 2025. The worker said he was unfairly dismissed despite having less than 12 months’ service. He later appealed his termination internally and returned to work six weeks later. He was back-paid for the time away, leaving holiday pay as the only outstanding issue. The worker did not attend the second hearing or update the WRC on whether that issue had been resolved; the employer attended.
