The WRC made no recommendation on a care facility worker’s dispute over her acting-up arrangement. Adjudication Officer Úna Glazier-Farmer dated the decision 21 August 2025. The worker said she remained dissatisfied with a grievance outcome and had gained additional qualifications. The employer said a review found she did not meet the 90 per cent caring-duty threshold for health care assistant status. Glazier-Farmer noted her qualifications and commitment, but said a Labour Court recommendation and a SIPTU-agreed job evaluation process could not be interfered with. She said there was no option to review the worker’s current position, although she could apply through normal recruitment channels for future roles.
