WRC rejects worker’s requests for new investigation and colleague’s move

A WRC recommendation dated 22 August 2025 rejected a worker’s requests for a fresh investigation into an alleged workplace assault and for her colleague to be moved. The worker said the company’s investigation wrongly rejected her complaint. The company said its investigation and appeal found insufficient evidence to support the allegation, and that it offered mediation. The adjudication officer noted that the witness present did not corroborate the worker’s account and that re-investigating the incident was outside the officer’s remit. The officer said two investigations reached the same conclusion and a third was unlikely to differ, and did not find in the worker’s favour.
