In 2001, the Labour Court found that Complete Stainless Engineering Limited did not come within the Construction Industry Registered Employment Agreement because its employees were mainly engaged in manufacturing, including in workshops at clients’ premises. The decision was dated 12 October 2001. The Technical, Engineering & Elecrtical Union had sought coverage of the agreement’s pension, assurance and sick-pay provisions for its members. The Court’s finding meant the agreement did not apply to the company.
