The Labour Court struck out Emilia Mihaylova’s appeal after she failed to attend its sitting on 7 January 2015. The determination was signed on 9 January 2015; the merits were not decided. Mihaylova appealed a Rights Commissioner’s decision on her claim against Dublin Institute of Technology under the Protection of Employees (Fixed-Term Work) Act, 2003. The Court said she knew the date, time and place of the sitting.
