Labour Court sends Ms. Burke's late equality dispute for investigation

In 1999, the Labour Court found reasonable grounds for Ms. Burke's late referral of an equality dispute against the Revenue Commissioners and sent it to an Equality Officer for investigation. The decision was signed on 19 March 1999. The Court accepted that Ms. Burke did not learn of Revenue's promotion review procedures until July 1998 and noted she had to attend a review process that other men did not. The underlying equality allegation was not decided at this stage.
