The Labour Court dismissed a worker’s appeal after he failed to attend the hearing, leaving the Equality Officer’s time-limit decision in place. The Court issued its determination on 11 November 2014; the merits were not decided. The worker had claimed disability discrimination in access to employment against a community enterprise scheme. He had been told the hearing date and submitted written arguments, but did not appear or contact the Court. The scheme attended. The appeal failed for want of prosecution.
