The Labour Court recommended that Sheridan Insurance reinstate a worker who said she was constructively dismissed after raising concerns about working part time. The recommendation was signed on 11 February 2002. The Court said there may have been a misunderstanding at an interview and noted that Sheridan Insurance accepted that issues raised there may have been inappropriate. If reinstatement was not feasible, it recommended compensation equivalent to three months’ salary in full and final settlement of the claim.
