Labour Court dismisses Violeta Cucovic’s discrimination appeal against Tuath Housing Association

The Labour Court dismissed Ms Violeta Cucovic’s appeal against the decision on her discrimination complaint against Tuath Housing Association. The Court affirmed the Adjudication Officer’s decision on 8 July 2021. Cucovic worked as an accounts assistant on a 12-month fixed-term contract that began on 7 May 2019. Tuath ended her employment on 10 May 2019. She alleged discrimination on grounds of gender, civil status, age, race and religion. The Court said she gave no example of discriminatory action on any of those grounds and found that no prima facie case had been established.
