The Labour Court dismissed Monica Murphy’s appeal against the Adjudication Officer’s decision in her discrimination and victimisation case against Iarnrod Eireann. The determination was dated 19 April 2021. Murphy said the company’s chief executive failed to respond to a grievance letter before her retirement on 3 August 2018. The Court noted a comprehensive reply was sent on 3 September 2018 and found she had not established facts from which discrimination or victimisation could be inferred. It upheld the Adjudication Officer’s decision.
