The Labour Court upheld the rejection of Patricia O’Keefe’s discrimination complaints against the Chartered Institute of Housing, finding she had not proved the facts on which they relied. The determination was signed on 20 April 2018, and her appeal failed.
O’Keefe alleged race and disability discrimination, including discriminatory dismissal, as well as harassment and victimisation. The Chartered Institute of Housing denied the allegations and said it had dismissed her after concerns about her probation and conduct. The Court found she had not proved the primary facts needed to support her claims. It upheld the Adjudication Officer’s decision that the complaints were not well founded.
