The Labour Court upheld the finding that G4S Cash Solutions Irl Ltd did not discriminate against Garry O'Sullivan when it dismissed him. The determination was signed on 7 November 2017.

O'Sullivan argued that his medical certificates should have alerted the company to his disability and that his dismissal was discriminatory. The company said it dismissed him for failing to comply with absence-management requirements and had not known of a disability before the proceedings.

The Court found the certificates did not reasonably convey that he had a disability and that he had not provided information from which the company could conclude he had one. It determined that the company did not discriminate on disability grounds and affirmed the Adjudication Officer’s decision.
