The Labour Court reduced a worker’s compensation from €70,000 to €65,000 after finding that a public service employer discriminated against her over workplace accommodation. The decision was dated 7 March 2014.
The worker, a medical secretary, said her office was shared and too far from a toilet. The Court found the employer failed to provide a suitable workplace from July 2007 to June 2010, but that later accommodation met her needs. It also found no discrimination in access to an upgraded post. The Court set aside the earlier order about her office and duties.
