Labour Court disallows Martians Zincenko’s nationality discrimination appeal

The Labour Court disallowed Martians Zincenko’s appeal against the Equality Tribunal decision on his discrimination claim against Patrick Brock and Sons Ltd. The determination was signed on 26 October 2010. Zincenko alleged discrimination in his employment conditions and dismissal because of his nationality. The Court found no evidence that his conditions differed from those of a person of another nationality, and no reliable evidence that his dismissal was based on race. It also noted that his claim that an Irish worker had replaced him rested on hearsay. The Court affirmed the Tribunal’s decision.
