The Labour Court dismissed a worker’s appeal against an Equality Officer decision that found no disability discrimination and no substantive evidence of victimisation. The determination was signed on 9 October 2009.
The worker had provided informal guided tours at Tintern Abbey, Co Wexford, since 1994 and had unsuccessfully sought seasonal guide work since 1998. He referred the complaints to the Equality Tribunal in 2006. At the appeal hearing, the Court ruled that submissions about later events were inadmissible and found no material evidence advancing the original case.
