The Labour Court dismissed Josephine O’Halloran’s age discrimination appeal against Galway City Partnership over its appointment to a mediator post in April 2004. The determination was signed on 18 May 2007. The Court found that the interview board applied its agreed criteria consistently and that there was no discernible connection between O’Halloran’s age and the decision not to appoint her. Her claims concerning a March 2002 appointment and a July 2004 competition were outside the scope of the complaint. The Court affirmed the Equality Officer’s decision and disallowed the appeal.
