The Labour Court found that Alfa Alarms had met Carol Halpin’s holiday-pay entitlement under the Organisation of Working Time Act, 1997. Its determination was signed on 12 October 1998. Alfa Alarms had appealed a Rights Commissioner recommendation of £46.80. Halpin accepted the company’s £33.10 cheque in full and final settlement on the hearing day. The Court found that payments of £63.12 and £33.10 covered her net entitlement, which it calculated at £96.22.
