The Labour Court has set aside a €5,496.75 award to Suman Bhurtel after allowing Chicken Castle Limited Chicken Club’s appeal. The Court signed its decision on 1 August 2025. Bhurtel complained that he regularly worked more than the permitted average maximum of 48 hours a week. The Court found the complaint was out of time and that the reasons offered did not justify extending the limit, so it was statute-barred.
