The Labour Court upheld a €400 award to Elke Williams after finding Camphill Communities Of Ireland had not paid her for four public holidays. The determination was signed on 7 September 2021. Camphill appealed, arguing Williams was not an employee covered by the Organisation of Working Time Act and that her claim was out of time. The Court relied on its finding in a linked case that she was an employee and her employment ended on 31 December 2018. Camphill did not dispute that she had not received payment for the four holidays. The Court found a breach of the Act and awarded €100 for each holiday.
