The Labour Court upheld the decision that Coolquay Leisure Limited, trading as Gold Rush, did not breach Sunday-premium rules in its case against worker Mr Georgica Untea. The determination was dated 24 November 2017. Mr Untea appealed, saying he had received no Sunday premium. The company said his €10.50 hourly rate included one. The Court found that €1.35 per hour above his basic rate, amounting to €54 per week, was reasonable for his Sunday work. It disallowed his appeal and upheld the adjudication officer’s decision.
