The Labour Court set aside the rejection of John Mullins’s annual-leave pay complaint and ordered Askeaton Paving Limited to pay him €121.80. The determination was signed on 6 June 2017. Mullins appealed after the Adjudication Officer rejected his claim for pay for one day of annual leave on 22 December 2015. He had been due to take the day off but worked at the company’s request. The Court found no evidence that he took a replacement leave day or was paid for it when his employment ended. The Court ordered payment for the one day of leave at the stated daily rate of €121.80.
