The Labour Court rejected Hussain Ali's appeal against Kohinoor Limited, finding his breaks complaint was brought outside the time limit and was not well founded. The Court found he had received 104.47 hours of holiday pay on termination, four weeks' paid leave in August 2014 and payment for five public holidays in the relevant period. Ali, a chef, had claimed breaks from 2006 to June 2013 and outstanding annual leave and public holiday entitlements at termination. The Court dated its determination 17 October 2016 and upheld the Adjudication Officer's decision.
