Labour Court upholds Cheshire Ireland appeal over holiday entitlement

By Rory Hanlon

Labour Court ·

The Labour Court upheld Cheshire Ireland’s appeal, finding that Kathleen Donaghey received her full public holiday entitlement. The determination was signed on 12 August 2016. Donaghey worked 19 hours a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The three public holidays in her claim period fell on Mondays, and Cheshire Ireland gave her 3.8 hours of extra annual leave for each. The Court found this met her statutory entitlement.
