The Labour Court disallowed Andrius Babianskas’s appeal over a disciplinary hearing and upheld the Adjudication Officer’s decision, for different reasons. The determination was signed on 20 June 2016. Babianskas argued that First Glass Limited penalised him for earlier working-time complaints by requiring him to attend a disciplinary hearing after he took unauthorised leave around his child’s birth. First Glass said the hearing concerned its leave procedures. The Court found it was reasonable to investigate the leave and that no sanction followed, so Babianskas suffered no detriment. It found the complaint was not well founded.
