The Labour Court allowed Andrius Babianskas’s appeal against First Glass Limited and awarded him €750 after finding that proceedings under the Organisation of Working Time Act influenced his demotion from driving duties. The determination was signed on 20 June 2016.
Babianskas said his wages were reduced and he was demoted after making working-time complaints. First Glass denied a connection, citing complaints about truck conditions, his ability to do the job and truck management. The Court found that reinstating him to driving duties was not possible because he no longer worked for the company.
