The Labour Court awarded Edgars Petraitis €1,000 compensation after finding that Philmic Limited T/A Premier Linen Services breached working-time rules on breaks and notice of shift changes. The Court also rejected his complaints about annual leave and public holiday payments. The determination was signed on 8 June 2016. Petraitis appealed an earlier decision that had upheld part of his claim. He said he received only short breaks during shifts and inadequate notice when his start and finish times changed. The company said he received four ten-minute breaks and at least 24 hours’ notice.
