The Labour Court rejected Celina Jakubiak’s appeals against Laurel Enterprises Limited Trading As Centra, finding that she had not worked Sundays during the relevant period and so no breach of the break or Sunday work provisions occurred. The Court also found that Jakubiak was not employed on a zero-hours contract and had been laid off in August 2012. It rejected that complaint as well. The determination was signed on 7 March 2014.
