The Labour Court varied Iulia Pascutoi’s Sunday-work award to €100 after finding that Donal & Lavinia Walsh had breached her rights. In a determination signed on 21 November 2014, it allowed her appeal to that extent.
Pascutoi worked for the respondents for five days, including a Sunday. The respondents said a €5 allowance had been due but was missed through inadvertence and was later paid. The Court found a breach of section 14(1) of the Organisation of Working Time Act 1997 and substituted a €100 award for the Rights Commissioner’s award.
