The Labour Court rejected Regina Stasytiene’s appeal and upheld the Rights Commissioner’s decision that her working-time claim failed. The determination was signed on 30 August 2013. Stasytiene said she was available to work after authorised leave from 5 January 2013 but was not given work. Anora Commerical Limited disputed her account and said she was not on a zero-hours contract. The Court found she was employed for 39 hours a week, not on a zero-hours basis, and that section 18 of the Organisation of Working Time Act 1997 did not apply to her contract.
