The Labour Court set aside the Rights Commissioner’s dismissal and awarded Grzegorz Strzelecki €1,202 for unpaid annual leave in a decision dated 11 July 2012. Strzelecki appealed after the Rights Commissioner dismissed his complaint for want of prosecution when he did not attend that hearing. He said he was owed payment for 10 days of annual leave when his employment with Zahir Limited ended. The company was not represented at the Labour Court hearing. The Court found the complaint well founded on Strzelecki’s undisputed submissions. He withdrew his separate section 21 complaints.
