The Labour Court upheld a €76 public holiday award to Dariusz Olejarz and rejected his complaint about rest breaks between shifts. Olejarz appealed the Rights Commissioner’s decision against Marchford Ltd. The determination was dated 24 June 2011. The Court found that he qualified for payment for the 17 March 2010 public holiday because his employment ended during the week in which it fell. On the rest-break complaint, it found no breach and said he received compensatory rest.
